You should not engage in CFD margin trading unless you fully understand the risks involved.

Currency
If you trade in a market denominated in a currency other than your base currency, currency and exchange rate fluctuations may affect your profits and losses.

Volatility
Price movements in the underlying markets can be volatile. This will have a direct impact on your profit and loss. Knowing the volatility of an underlying market will help guide you as to where stops should be placed. It should be noted that volatility can be unexpected and unpredictable.

After-hours markets
During after-hours sessions in index markets, our quotes reflect our own view of a market’s outlook. This could include referencing price movements in other relevant markets that are open. In addition, business conducted by other clients may affect our quotations. There may be nothing to measure our quotation against at this time.

Gearing leverage
Leverage or gearing allows you to trade with a small deposit (also called margin) in terms of the total contract value. However, this means a small movement in the underlying market can have a disproportionately dramatic effect on your trade.
Even a small movement in the underlying market can result in the loss of your entire margin amount. Therefore, it is imperative that you only speculate with money you can afford to lose.
